2024 European Music Masterclass Tour
A summer study tour following the footsteps of the great composers — master classes in Berlin and the finest concert halls of Europe.
A summer programme for young musicians and music-major students, immersed in the landscapes and the deep artistic atmosphere of Europe. Each day centred on a different composer as we followed the footsteps of Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn, Wagner and Strauss, visiting their houses and museums.
Highlights
- One-to-one master classes with leading professors from Germany’s top conservatories.
- Visits to world-famous concert halls — the Vienna State Opera, the Musikverein’s Golden Hall, the Semperoper in Dresden and the Berlin Philharmonie.
- The Berlin Musical Instrument Museum, with its 8,000 instruments tracing the history of instrument making and performance.
- A student showcase concert, with personal guidance from master teachers to refine technique and prepare the path to Europe’s professional music academies.
On the road
The journey opened in Berlin — the Brandenburg Gate, the glass dome of the Reichstag, Museum Island and the East Side Gallery — before turning south through Austria and the heartland of European classical music, taking in four countries and numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites along the way.
